Stevens Business Service, Inc. uses a combination of telephone
and mail contact for the collection of all accounts. We feel our
state of the art computerization, dialer technology, Certified Collectors
and our financial services orientated collection philosophy gives
us a decided advantage over the competition.
All accounts placed for collection are entered into our system
that day. The first collection letter is generated and mailed the
next business day. This letter provides the customer/patient with
a toll free number which allows them to speak to a Certified Collector
for financial guidance right up until 8:30pm(Monday- Friday).
In addition, our initial letter explains to the customer/patient
their right under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and gives
them the opportunity to pay via Mastercard/Visa. Our phone contact
begins immediately. We employ the latest in dialer technology to
assist our collection staff in finding good time to reach each customer/patient(between
8:00AM-8:30PM/Monday-Friday). Any accounts without good phone numbers
or good addresses are immediately transferred to our skip tracing
department which works simultaneously with our collections staff
in locating the customer. Once a good phone number is established,
the account is sent back to collections for follow-up.
If the reason for nonpayment of an account is financial, the collector
would plan with the customer/patient on getting the account paid
in full via Mastercard/Visa, loans, automatic withdrawal et cetera.
If the customer/patient is unable to pay in full, payment plans are
set up with the preferred arrangement being automatic withdrawal.
